OUR DOMAINES

Organic growing in our wine domaines is a story of men and women, it is a family affair, and an age-old social system around which life is organized.

Life, that of the land and its vines, upon which these wine growers lavish great care and attention, with dedication and love.

OUR BRANDS

Our brands, sometimes from the wine domaines, cater directly to consumers’ habits, tastes and needs.

A GROWING “ORGANIC CONSCIOUSNESS”

The need to drastically reduce the use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers in our soil and in our organism, is a global challenge.

90%

of consumption is in North America and the EU; there is also growing demand in Asia

70%

of production is provided by France, Spain and Italy.

Between 2004 and 2015, the worldwide surface area of organically-grown vines increased from 88,000 hectares to over 300,000 hectares, including 65,000 hectares in France, with the Languedoc being the biggest region (over 20,000 hectares).

A LONG-TERM COMMITMENT

Organic viticulture differs from conventional growing as its prohibits the use of products containing synthetic molecules, including the use of chemical crop protection products such as pesticides, insecticides and fertilizers.

The purpose of this approach, and particularly of biodynamics, is to strengthen the vine’s defences in order to reduce treatments, encourage soil fertility via a healthier soil with resurgent biodiversity, and to endow the wine with superior taste qualities.

This commitment demands time...

Producing an organic wine requires 20% to 40% more labour than a conventional wine.
